International Women's Day In alignment with the UN's International Women's Day theme , Invest in Women : Accelerate Progress and campaign theme : Inspire Inclusion, Govt Degree College Qazigund, screened documentary films including "Girl Raising : India Chapter " and The Eagle Huntress on 11th March 2024 .The event was not just a film screening; it was a catalyst for dialogue, empowerment, and a celebration of women's achievements. The program, held in the college auditorium, began at 1:30 PM and ran until 4 PM. The meticulously chosen documentaries showcased a diverse spectrum of women's experiences. From groundbreaking pioneers to everyday heroines, the films explored themes of resilience, leadership, and the fight for equality. The audience, a mix of students and staff, was captivated. Each film was followed by a facilitated discussion. These sessions provided a platform for the audience to delve deeper into the themes explored, share personal experiences, and engage in critical dialogue.The event proved a spark that ignited a fire of awareness and action. It served as a testament to the power of storytelling and the importance of fostering inclusive spaces for dialogue. The event was coordinated by Prof. Aufaq Ahmad Zargar , Assistant Professor, Computer Applications and Prof. Showkat Ahmad Malik , Assistant Professor, Education, under the patronage of the Principal.
