The establishment of the Department of Environmental Science in 2022 marked a significant milestone in the academic landscape, particularly in response to the growing concerns surrounding environmental sustainability and the need for interdisciplinary approaches to address them. By introducing Environmental Science (EVS) as a multidisciplinary (MD) subject open to all undergraduate students, the department aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the intricate interactions between the environment and various human activities. Our department is dedicated to fostering a deep understanding of the environment and promoting sustainable practices through education and community engagement. At the Department of Environmental Science, we are committed to promoting environmental awareness and action. We aim to inspire our students to make meaningful contributions to society by addressing environmental challenges with creativity, knowledge, and a sense of responsibility. The Department of Environmental Science, driven by a clear mission to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and ethical framework necessary to tackle the pressing environmental issues of our time. Our interdisciplinary curriculum blends the natural and social sciences with humanities, offering students a comprehensive understanding of the complexities surrounding environmental challenges.
