National Voter’s Day 2024

QAZIGUND 25-01-2024: Govt. Degree College Qazigund celebrated 14th National Voter’s
Day with the theme “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure” on 25-01-2024. In order to
ensure befitting celebrations of National Voter’s Day in the college, discussion on this year’s
theme was made with the students and staff wherein it was reinforced the importance of
voting, its value and fully participation during elections for upholding the democratic
traditions of our country. It was also emphasized that every voter should exercise its voting
right fearlessly. Prof. G.R Verma, Principal of the college in his remarks stressed that every
college students who is 18 years of age or above should compulsorily be a registered voter
and definitely votes in the upcoming election for sure and for promoting healthy democracy.
Thereafter, NVD pledge ceremony was taken with an affirmation that we will vote and
support the dignity of free, fair and peaceful election.
