Inaugural Of South Kashmir Inter College Kabaddi Tournament

The inaugural ceremony of South Kashmir Inter-College Kabaddi Tournament being organized by GDC Qaigund was held today on 09-10-2023.The Chief Guest on the occasion was Principal GDC Dooru,Prof. Gh. Hassan Thakur and Principal of the host college Prof. G.R Verma was the Guest of Honor. Principal Prof. G.R Verma formally received the Chief Guest by presenting the Bouquet. In the Inaugural ceremony Prof. Showkat Ahmad Malik welcomed the guests, other dignitaries, participants and students. Principal Prof G. R Verma in his introductory remarks highlighted the significance of Games and sports for the healthy life and wished the participants a success. The inaugural match was played today between GDC Kulgam and GDC Bijbehara which was won by GDC Kulgam in nail bite finish.Rakeeb Ahmad Wani, GDC Kulgam emerged as a player of the Match for his outstanding performance. The second match was played between host college GDC Qazigund and GDC Utersoo which was won by the Host College with a huge margin. Faizan Ahmad Bhat, GDC Qazigund was adjudged as the Player of the match for his remarkable performance. Mr. Sameer Ahmad Naik,Mr. Aamir Yaqoob and Mr. Javid Ahmad Pala were match referees/Offiicials deployed by Youth Services and Sports Department Kulgam.The player of matches was felicitated with Mementos in the valedictory session
